Generic 80 mm printers are sold as POS-80, POS-8370, POS-80C, 80mm Thermal Receipt Printer and many other names. They are cheap, fast, usually include an auto-cutter and speak standard ESC/POS — exactly what Elysano needs.

576 or 512 dots?
The paper is 80 mm wide, but the print head is narrower. Most printers have a 72 mm head (576 dots); some cheaper clones use a 64 mm head (512 dots). If the right side of your image is missing or the print turns into diagonal stripes, choose 80 mm narrow (512 dots). The paper width guide explains how to check.
Setup
- macOS: if you ever installed a driver for the printer, remove it in System Settings → Printers & Scanners, then unplug and replug the cable.
- Windows: switch the printer's driver to WinUSB with Zadig (this stops normal Windows printing to it until you switch back). Linux: unload
usblpand add a udev rule. See the setup guide. - Open the app, press Connect USB printer, pick the printer in the browser's dialog and run a test print.
Good to know
- The Ethernet port (on LAN models) is not used — browsers cannot open raw network connections to printers.
- Long, dark images heat the head; if printing stops halfway, let it cool and print again.
- For logos with fine detail, use Threshold and raise the threshold slider until thin lines appear.
