1. Who is responsible

Elysano (www.elysano.com) is operated by Jure Zlak s.p., Slovenia, which is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: jure@zlak.io.

2. Your images and print data

When you choose an image, it is decoded, resized and dithered by JavaScript running in your browser tab. The resulting ESC/POS commands are sent over WebUSB directly to the printer you select. No image, preview or print job is uploaded to our servers or to anyone else. If you close the tab, the data is gone.

The same applies to Bluetooth printers: data goes from your browser to the printer over Web Bluetooth, and nothing passes through our servers. The QR code, barcode and label tools draw their images in your browser; when you press “Print with Elysano”, the image is passed to the app through your browser's temporary session storage and deleted as soon as the app has loaded it.

Your browser may remember that you allowed elysano.com to talk to a specific USB device. That permission is stored by the browser on your computer, not by us, and you can revoke it in your browser's site settings.

3. Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and collects data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the referring website. We do not send Google any images, file names or personal details.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). In regions where consent is required, analytics cookies are only used after you accept them. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

Elysano is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ad performance and — if you agree — to personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites.

4a. Amazon affiliate links

Some pages, such as printers & paper, link to product searches on Amazon. These are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate, Elysano earns from qualifying purchases. The link carries our Associate ID so Amazon can credit the referral; we send Amazon no information about you. Once you are on Amazon, Amazon's own privacy and cookie notices apply. To pick the nearest Amazon store, your browser's language and time zone are read locally — they are not stored or sent to us. We count clicks on these links in Google Analytics (subject to your consent) without recording what you buy.

5. Cookie consent

Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland see a consent message provided by Google (a Google-certified consent management platform). You can accept, reject, or choose individual purposes. Until you decide, no advertising or analytics cookies are set and only non-personalised, limited ads may be shown. You can change your choice at any time using the Privacy and cookie settings link that appears at the bottom of the page.

6. Hosting and server logs

The site is a static website hosted by Vercel Inc. Like every web host, Vercel processes technical request data (IP address, requested URL, time, browser user agent) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. These logs are kept for a short period by Vercel and are not used by us to identify visitors.

7. International transfers

Google and Vercel may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How long data is kept

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Advertising cookies are retained according to Google's policies (typically up to 13 months). We keep no other personal data about visitors. If you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to answer you.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. To exercise these rights, write to jure@zlak.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).

10. Children

Elysano is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
